Sweden is known for its endless forests, enormous and beautiful lakes and of course Ikea :). It’s a huge country that’s home to 29 national parks and 3500 nature reserves. All of which makes Sweden the perfect destination to explore by foot or bike and sleeping in a tent.
If you’re an EU inhabitant, you don’t need a visa if you’re traveling to Sweden. However, you do need a valid passport or an ID card to be able to identify yourself if needed. Due to the Schengen agreement only people from third world countries and people that have been rejected for a visa in one of the Schengen countries before, need a visa prior to traveling to Sweden.
There are no mandatory or recommended vaccinations for Sweden. However, if you’re traveling to the south of Sweden, it might be wise to get a vaccine for tick-borne encephalitis (TBE). But that really depends on what you’re planning to do there.
